Palm Lakes Residential Estate

Royal Palm Estates is one of the largest new developments on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal South Africa with phase one spanning an area of over 700 hectares. This first phase includes a 311 hectare residential estate (Palm Lakes Residential), a 47 hectare office park (Palm Lakes Office), and a further 280 hectare corporate park (Palm Lakes Corporate). Royal Palm Estates is situated 13 kilometers North of Ballito and 23 kilometers North of the new King Shaka International Airport and Dube Trade Port and is a short distance from the many prime wildlife reserves, adventure locations and lifestyle amenities. The habitat is a natural variation of rolling hills, green valleys, placid lakes and wetlands - all flourishing with preserved indigenous and tropical fauna and flora, creating a diverse landscape rich in bird and wildlife.

Palm Lakes Residential

King Shaka International Airport is an airport currently under construction at La Mercy, approximately 35 kilometres north of Durban, South Africa. It will replace the existing Durban International Airport (DIA), which will be decommissioned. It is expected to open on May 1, 2010,[1] just over a month before the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The airport was designed by Osmond Lange Architects and Planners and will cost R6.8 billion.[2]

The airport will form part of the Dube Tradeport, which will additionally consist of a trade zone (being linked to the airport's air freight component), facilities to support the airport such as nearby offices and transit accommodation for tourists, an integrated agricultural export zone and an IT platform.
